چکیده

Background: Salivary characteristics include pH, salivary flow, consistency, composition, and saliva buffer capacity, so if changes occur, they will increase the risk of dental caries associated with initial process speed development. In addition to saliva, nutritional benefits can interfere increased incidence higher caries, reduced secretion, decreased qualitative in saliva. One parameters that be used measure status is body mass index which also correlates DMF-T index. Objective: determine correlation between quantity, (BMI) Method: The group consisted 78 respondents. Stimulated samples were collected capacity using a test kit. Weight height are measured obtain Result: average flow 1.9487, indicating normal category because occurs less than 60 seconds. quantity score was 2.6026, including at more 5mL. 2.6282, means standard too high. BMI 22.798, indicated it had weight an level 3.179 belonged very low category. Conclusion: such as do not significantly correlate However, one parameter index, namely viscosity.
